Collecting Palm Juice

First, the climber has to scramble up the tree, which he does
with amazing rapidity, dangling his pots behind him. Then, he finds
and cuts into the fruiting bodies of the tree, letting their sap run
into his pots. The raw juice is made into various condiments, such as
candy and "toddy palm," a kind of liquor.
