Elephant Ride

An elephant ride can be had near the palace at Ayutthaya. An animal often associated with royalty, elephants were used in battle – the ancient equivalent of tanks – and also for ceremonial processions and heavy work such as forest clearance. They are now mostly unemployed, except for the few who carry tourists.
