Northwest Courtyard and Tower

Royal Palace, Mandalay

The royal throne is located underneath the tall palace tower seen in this photo. Another palace tower can be found in the Bagaya Kyaung in Ava. A different type of tower, the watchtower, is seen on the Outer Wall.
