Lustration SceneEast Face, South Library
This pediment is located beside the main east-facing pediment ("Ravana Shaking Mt. Kailasa," next page) of the so-called South Library (glossary entry). At the top of the scene, Lakshmi (consort of Vishnu) is being lustrated by two elephants. At the bottom, Garuda as the mount of Vishnu occupies a place normally reserved for the kala. |
