Seated in bhumisparsha mudra, this Buddha projects a feeling of complacent self-confidence. U-Thong, about 100km northwest of Bangkok, had been settled from ancient times. U-Thong statues from this period often exhibit a ponderous, Dvaravati-influenced style and Mon facial features.
