Balloon Ride

The balloon ride provides an unparalleled opportunity for otherwise unobtainable views of the temples, such as this photo of the magnificent Dhammayangi as it is lit up by the rising sun. Since the ride only lasts an hour and a half, many sessions would be required to overfly all the major temples in this way. One envies the balloon operators, who must have seen just about every temple in Pagan from this perspective.
