New Buddha Statue

This new Buddha statue is still in its wrapper. In modern times, statues are worshiped by pasting thin gold leaf (purchased by the faithful) on its surface. When the surface is completely covered, the statue is "retired" and a new statue, such as this one, will be set up in its place.
