Battle of Lanka
West gallery, north wing
Angkor Wat
The asura king of Lanka, with multiple arms and heads, occupies
a chariot which is drawn by a mythical lion-dragon. In the
background, innumerable flying arrows
and spears define the context of the battle. The asura leader,
as befits his power and importance, is drawn much larger than
the ordinary soldiers of the two armies.
