Southern Group of Outer Three Towers

Pre Rup, Angkor

The eastern entrance to Pre Rup is flanked by these three towers to the south. To the north, another three were planned but only two were built. The towers are later additions, probably (Freeman and Jacques, page 159) by Jayavarman V (968-1000). Seen here is the southern group, from the central platform inside the temple, facing east.
