Prasat Kravan

Angkor, Cambodia

Prasat Kravan was built during the reign of Harshavarman I (915-923), although not directly by that king. Its five sanctuaries are lined up in a north-south row, with their entrances facing east; this photo is taken from the west. The towers of three shrines could not be recovered; the remaining two were restored, although not enough material was left to complete them.
