Standing Buddha

Hatadage, Polonnaruwa

This standing Buddha is the leftmost of three that are displayed in Hatadage; the other two are in worse repair. The temple is deliberately aligned with Vatadage: its central Buddha, not shown here, looks directly across to the northern directional Buddha of the latter shrine.
