Jangseung "totem poles"

Jangseung are ancestor spirit sculptures, usually called "totem poles" by analogy to the ancestral clan poles of the American Pacific Northwest. The Jangseung here are restored copies, as nearly as I can make out from the signage, of two Joseon dynasty originals (17th-18th century).
