Amida TriadGeungnakbojeon Hall, Silleuksa Temple Located in Silleuksa's Paradise Hall (previous page), the triad is dated 1791. Amida occupies the center, flanked by Avalokiteshvara and Mahasthamaprapta. The small statue by Amida's left knee represents baby Shakyamuni just after his birth, when he legendarily pointed up with his right hand and down with his left, meaning that he has no equal in the heavens or below them. |
