Jeukjodang

"Jeukjodang" means "Coronation Hall;" both King Gwanghaegun (1608-1623) and King Injo (1623-1649) were crowned in this building. It was used as an office by Emperor Gojong (1863-1907), and his successor Emperor Sunjong was crowned here in 1907. The hall is connected by a corridor to Junmyeongdang. To the right is Seogeodang. The decorative rocks in the yard were brought here from Changgyeonggung palace in 1984.
