Seonjeong-jeon

Seonjeong Hall was the working office of the king and his officials, until superseded by Huijeongdang (next page). It is a smallish hall with a unique blue roof that occupies a gated courtyard and is approached by a covered walkway; other buildings in the courtyard are connected by enclosed corridors.

The folding screen behind the throne is a Joseon royal screen, like the one in Injeong Hall (previous page). It depicts the sun (king) and moon (queen), mountains, waterfalls, and pine trees.
