The shrine courtyard of Jeonju's Hyanggyo is arranged with the Confucius Shrine (previous page) at the top; a larger but secondary shrine extends down each side of the courtyard. The side shrines at Jeonju are of unusual length; each is a full 9-bay building. They contain rows of simple altars to Confucian dignitaries (next page).
