Yangdong Folk Village
Gyeongju, Korea
Founded in the 15th century as the seat of the Wolseong Son clan, Yangdong - a World Heritage site - preserves the atmosphere of a traditional Joseon-period village with historical buildings, costumes, crafts, and customs. An overlook of the village is seen here. Tiled roofs belong to the upper class homes, and thatched roofs to the lower class homes.
