The ordination platform was built by Jajang, the temple's founder. As the focus of worship from inside the temple's main hall (next page), it is said to enshrine some actual relics of the Buddha - a robe, a begging bowl, and a skull fragment - that were brought back by Jajang from China. In this photo the Main Hall is behind the platform; the platform cannot be seen from there, and access is not permitted to the general public.
