Silver inlay technique, not only on bronze but also on celadons and lacquer, was highly developed in the Goryeo dynasty, as this example shows. The decoration uses thin silver threads and thicker bands in a looping, elaborate vegetal design. The burner is shaped like a pedestal cup.
