Bronze Bell-Rattle

Bokcheondong Museum
Busan, Korea

Seven "jingle bells" are attached around the circumference of a bronze ring. The instrument, which was inserted at the end of a wooden handle, presumably had a ceremonial (shamanistic?) use. It was excavated from Tomb #22 and is 11.3cm (4.4in) long. Another example is held in the Gwangju National Museum.
