Renaissance Tomb

Wadi Farasa, Petra

The simple but attractive Renaissance Tomb (sometimes just referred to by number, 229) is located near Wadi Farasa, on the path from Qasr al-Bint to the High Place. Its entrance is framed by two pilasters that support a circular arch. A triangular pediment caps the facade. Symbolic funerary urns are sculpted on top of the arch and pediment.
