Neolithic Settlement
Beidha, Jordan
This view of Beidha looks west. After being destroyed by fire (c. 6650 BC), Beidha was rebuilt, this time
in the latest square-walled mid-Pre-Pottery Neolithic B fashion. Specialized workshops, for tool production
and food preparation, appear during this phase. However, by 6500 BC the village had been abandoned,
for unknown reasons.
