Pure Land Garden

Motsuji's Pure Land (Jodo) Garden is an accurate recreation of the Heian original, since a lot of archaeological investigation was contributed in order to understand its design. This garden and lake was a symbolic representation of Amida Buddha's Western Paradise, where the believers would resurrect on lotus blossoms.
