Miroku, the Buddha of the Future (Skt. Maitreya), is flanked by Mujaku (immediate right), Seshin (immediate left), and two Bodhisattvas (far right and left). Mujaku and Seshin are the patriarchs of the Hosso sect. Three of the wooden statues - Miroku, Mujaku, and Seshin - are by Unkei (1208).
