Kagura-den

Kagura-den (also called Haiden, Marriage Hall, etc.) is a building for performing Shinto dances (kagura) and other rituals. The upper photo shows the entrance. Its sacred rope (shimenawa) is the largest in Japan, a distinctive feature that is replaced periodically. The lower photo shows the inner hall, which can be rented out for marriages and other ceremonies.
