Kenroku-en Garden

This is a photo of the "winding stream" near Gankobashi bridge (foreground). A toro (stone lantern) is seen in the middle. Just beyond and left of that is the "seven lucky gods" area (next photo). The Yukimibashi bridge is seen at photo right.

This photo was taken just to the right of the previous photo. The three-legged toro is in the center, Seven Lucky Gods to the right. The same scene appears very different, from even just a few feet away.

This last photo was taken just to the right of the previous photo. Yukimibashi bridge is seen at the photo lower right. In the context of this garden, the "Seven Japanese Gods of Good Luck" is just a fanciful name for these seven carefully-arranged garden stones.
