Kala, Upper Tier

Candi Singosari, East Java

This kala is decorated with deeply-undercut vegetal motifs. Its eyes are inset with spiral scrolls in place of pupils, and even its teeth have been transformed into pieces of vegetation. The kala is located on the west upper tier of the temple.
