Taman Gili, Semarapura, Bali

Like the royal temple at Taman Ayun, the remains of the royal palace at Taman Gili provide a good example of what might be called "20th century Traditional" architectural style; the original (1710) Klungkung Palace was destroyed by the Dutch, following a native rebellion in 1908. A few of the structures were later rebuilt, and incorporated into the present park. The Hall Of Justice, where the king used to hear legal cases, is seen here.
