This is the second of four exposed relief panels at the base of the monument. Its left side is a scene of disorderly conduct, including drinking, dancing, and licentious behavior, contrasting with the temperate scene on the right. The Karmavibhangga panels illustrate the workings of the Law of Karma. There were originally 160 such panels, of which all but these four are now inaccessible for engineering reasons (see previous page).
