Each temple here is individually named; Besakih is the name of the entire complex. This temple, "Basukian," is named after Vasuki, the world-snake that supports the churning-post in the Hindu story of the Churning of the Sea of Milk. The temple is located on the lower terrace, in front of Besakih's central complex (first page).
