Peak of the Inner Gate

Children, rendered in realistic style, climb up and arrange themselves in various poses upon the peak of the gate. Perhaps they are symbols of large families and good fortune, like the "100-children" theme in Chinese painting, but again there is a sense of humor here like the British-themed European guardians at the base of the gate.
