This large emblem of the Sisodya kings of Mewar is installed in the Surya Chopar, originally a reception room. The king's face, superimposed on a sun disk, is a dynastic emblem that identifies the clan's legendary solar origins -- making every king of this dynasty a literal "Sun King".
