Courtyard

Nayaka Palace, Thanjavur

The palace courtyard fronts an arcaded ground floor that is topped by a steep pyramidal tower (restored and reworked, 18th - 19th century). Inside is the Rajaraja museum of (mostly Chola) bronze and stone sculptures.
