High up near the ceiling, a panel of Durga fighting the buffalo demon recalls many other reliefs of this theme. Here, Durga is depicted smaller than the lion and the buffalo, and the buffalo is a minotaur (bull-headed man) rather than a theriomorph (man-headed bull).
