Galaganatha Temple

Pattadakal, Karnataka

The incomplete state of this temple provides a unique cross-sectional view of the circumambulatory passage, which features a sloped roof like that of Hucchimalli Gudi in Aihole.

Note: there are at least three different places named Galaganatha: (1) Galaganatha Temple in Pattadakal; (2) Galaganatha Village in Haveri, where Galageshwar Shiva Temple is located; and (3) Galaganatha Temple Group in Aihole. Variant spellings in English include Galaganath, Galganatha, and Galganath.
