Nandi Temple

Bangalore is the capital of Karnataka. The Nandi temple in Bangalore was erected in 1537 by Kempe Gowda, a local ruler under the Vijayanagara kings and the founder of the city.

A lamp tower stands in front of the temple. The lamp would be lit every evening by a boy shimmying up the tower.
