On the lower register below Arjuna (previous page) is a Vishnu shrine that is surrounded by worshipers, ascetics, celestials, and animals. The Ganges cleft is visible at photo right. Some animals are denning in caves at photo left, an outstanding bit of naturalism; the remainder of the lower left portion of the rock is unfinished.
