Minakshi Temple

This immense hall is lined with shops on either side. It is over 75m (225ft) long, and was built in the early 18th century. The hall runs along the main axis of the temple, from the Sundareshvara shrine (west) to the outer gopura (east). In this photo, the camera is pointing towards the eastern exit.
