Krishna Temple

Vijayanagara

This partly collapsed temple, located south of Hemakuta Hill, was built to celebrate a military victory of King Krishnadevaraya. Monuments of India lists a date of 1513, although the same author, in his more recent Blue Guide, gives the date as 1516.
