Kailasanatha Temple, Ellora

The temple base is symbolically "supported" by elephants. Above the first floor (note the people midway up at photo left) is the great tower which rises over 100 feet above the ground level and symbolizes Mount Kailasa, the mountain home of Shiva and Parvati in Tibet.
