Buddha's Walk
Mahabodhi Temple, Bodhgaya
The west side of the temple (looking north, in this photo)
within the railing is the traditional site of Buddha's Walk, where
he paced up and down after his enlightenment. Atop the
pavement is a long
table decked with the flower offerings that are used around
the temple. Every day hundreds and hundreds of bees, attracted by
the scent of the flowers, end their current lives on this pavement.
