Standing Colossi of Ramesses II

Here is a closeup of the two standing colossi in the southeast corner of Ramesses' courtyard (previous page). The statues are wearing the Nemes headdress, but it seems that they originally also wore the double crown (one is shown in this photo, on a low modern platform) like the other colossi lined up around the courtyard and in front of the entrance pylon.
