An emperor is purified by Thoth and Horus. The libation consists of alternating ankh and was symbols surrounding the king. Overlooking the scene at the right is Menhit, the lioness-wife of Khnum. The vertical molding at the far right imitates the traditional reed construction of the earliest Egyptian shrines.
