"Billionaire Kang's Residence" belonged to a rich merchant family during the Qing dynasty. The extensive walled manor, with its numerous passageways, courtyards, and rooms, was occupied by twelve generations of the Kang family and is a fascinating glimpse into a real-world version of the privileged lifestyle shown in movies like "Raise The Red Lantern."

Gongyi is located about 50mi (80km) west of Zhengzhou, between Zhengzhou and Louyang.
