Tomb Attendant

Western Han Dynasty, Yangling, Xian

This is a male attendant, in the typical Han posture of hands-in-sleeves, awaiting orders. The curled toes of his shoes just barely peek out, in approved fashion, from beneath his robe. Compared to the female attendant on the previous page, his moustache and hairstyle is the giveaway; everything else is virtually the same.
