A variety of armored military figures is displayed here, in testimony to the military preoccupations of the Northern Wei. The figure on the left is carrying a bow bag. Next to him is a man in armor. The third figure from the left is a Hun. These and other figures, including cavalrymen and female attendants, were excavated from Caochangpo.
