The long screen wall and other temple buildings are decorated with (modern) carvings that depict scenes from the Peking Opera and other popular stories. The temple, although Buddhist, also caters to elements of Daoist and folk religions. Seen here, at the side of the Arhats Hall (next page), an immortal feeds a deer.
