Above the entrance hall one sees a modern clock; startling at first, but eminently practical. Activities at a well-regulated monastery are governed by set times during the day, a familiar concept in Western monasticism as well as here in China.

Inside the hall is a statue of Weituo, a warrior god who traditionally guards Milefo's back.
