Middle Binyang Cave, Longmen
This stiched-together photo shows nine of the eleven sculptures in the cave. The two missing figures are obscured here behind the left and right edges of the cave's opening (for a photo of the complete left wall, that includes the missing figure, see: the Huntington Archive). The entire scheme, from left to right and including the missing figures, is: (1) a triad of bodhisattva, standing Buddha, and bodhisattva; (2) a pentad of bodhisattva, Ananda, Buddha, Kasyapa, and bodhisattva; and (3) another triad of bodhisattva, standing Buddha, and bodhisattva. Thorp and Vinograd, Chinese Art and Culture, p. 168 identifies the three Buddhas as Prabhutaratna, Shakyamuni, and Maitreya respectively, i.e., the Buddhas of the Past, Present, and Future.
