Rooftop Decorations

Gilded decorations on the roof include numerous stupa-type finials. Below the Chinese-style roof, a deer-wheel motif (ubiquitous in Tibet) refers to Buddha's First Sermon, in the Deer Park at Benares, when he first turned the Wheel of the Law.
